Job Summary

Opportunity Identification: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client needs and identify opportunities for applying AI and ML solutions.
Data Exploration and Preparation: Conduct data exploration, cleansing, preprocessing, and feature engineering to prepare data for modeling.
Statistical Analysis and Modeling: Develop and implement diverse statistical models and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time-series analysis) to solve business challenges.
Model Evaluation and Selection: Rigorously evaluate various models and model performance using appropriate metrics and techniques and iterate to improve model accuracy and efficiency.
Data Visualization and Storytelling: Effectively communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through compelling visualizations and data narratives.
Expand Capabilities: Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI, ML, and data science technologies, methodologies and tools and help expand our capabilities.
Mature Processes: Contribute to the development of best practices for data science processes within the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Data Scientist role within a consulting or technology firm.
Proficiency in data science languages and tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and model evaluation techniques.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau).
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data science capabilities.
Experience with at least one cloud platform’s AI/ML stack.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex data challenges.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of the organization.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Generative AI technologies.
Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) or Computer Vision.
Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for model deployment and monitoring.
