InfoMagnus helped a healthcare technology provider secure $35k in Microsoft funding to accelerate a time-sensitive migration from BitBucket Server to GitHub Enterprise Cloud with Advanced Security.
A healthcare technology provider purchased GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC) to migrate from BitBucket Server, including GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS). Initially planning to manage the migration internally, the engineering team realized they needed a partner to accelerate the transition. With their previous security tool contract canceled, the timeline was tight to implement GHAS. InfoMagnus scoped and planned the migration of repositories and Bamboo pipelines. Given budget constraints, Microsoft funding played a crucial role in making the transition possible.
InfoMagnus began scoping conversations with the engineering team to understand the challenge and formulate a plan to achieve their migration goal. InfoMagnus assessed their current Microsoft consumption and spend and determined there was eligibility for up to $35k in funding to help. Next, InfoMagnus worked on a project plan and migration estimate that would fit the tight budget the team had. After a successful submission to Microsoft, the client was awarded $35k to help and InfoMagnus began resource planning to get their migration started.
By helping the customer access funding to achieve a migration away from BitBucket, it released internal resources from a time-consuming migration project and moved the organization closer towards the goal of enabling GHAS in their development workflow. With an eye towards next steps, InfoMagnus will pursue exploring GHAS training to ensure teams are prepared for a successful adoption of the toolchain and will also encourage exploration of GitHub Actions and GitHub Copilot.
